Whadayaknow - I'm in the 17th carnival of feminists!
http://blog.pulpculture.org/2006/06/21/the-17th-feminist-carnival/
I don't know as I have the knowledge, intellect and gravitas to be included among such other feminist heavyweights as make up the rest of the carnival. But hey - I don't make the rules.
Anyway, congrats to all who have been anthologized!

Yes you do, yes you DO. I for one enjoy your posts and comment sections (my goodness, how they unravel!) immensely.
So good on ya!
So good on ya!
I don't know, man - did you see that carnival? fucking HEAVY. Like Tony Iommi playing a plutonium guitar while wearing a lead-studded jumpsuit heavy.
for all my boasting about how I'm such a well-read feminist it just goes to show me how much homework I have left to do.
Did anyone else catch that "I want to make a book" thing on B/L's blog?
that would be awesome.

"You're good enough, you're smart enough, and gosh darn it, *people like you!*"
Really. Really, really, really.
Wear it well, hon.

well, sure, and thanks.
That said, where can I find a copy of "The Idiot's Guide to Postmodernism" so I can feel okay sitting at the grownup table?
Alternately, "Foucalt for Dummies" would work, I suppose.
I'm not ashamed to admit when I'm out of my depth.

i feel that way a whole hell of a lot with the theoretical stuff, too, antip - especially when it forms the framework for someone else's way of thinking. i never took any women's studies classes (well, ok, one, but it was about "feminisms" in "third-world countries" - the whole class was in quotes), didn't take any psychology, nuttin'.
so when you get these copies, pass 'em on to me, k?
